We provide highly specialised services for adults who are deaf and require low or medium secure care. The services provide assessment and treatment for service users with complex communication needs who may also have a mental illness, learning disability or personality disorder.
The medium secure service for deaf women is the only one of its kind in the UK. The male service is provided in a low-secure environment.
These services are highly specialised and offer culturally sensitive treatment for deaf patients with mental disorders, who may have forensic histories. The team are highly skilled in British Sign Language (BSL)
