Staff were invited to take part in a Mufti Day where they could wear their own clothes for a small donation, which was led (and rigorously enforced) by the enthusiastic reception staff. The main event was a tuck shop selling a wide variety of sweets all generously donated by various manufacturers and staff members. A particular effort was led by the service users of Park Grange who ran an afternoon tea cake sale. Other activities included a ‘Guess the Sweets in the Jar’ competition which was won by Chloe, the social worker for the adolescent service.

“This is an incredible amount of money for a small hospital and a real sign of the generosity of the service users and staff. Congratulations everyone. A big thank you goes out to Des Clark for his significant efforts at acquiring free sweets and to Joanne Pilley for leading the event, also to the other members of staff who helped including, Francis, Paul, John, Tina & Anne.”Dr Jennifer Bamford, Clinical Psychologist, Cygnet Hospital Woking
