Trinity House recognised at national awards

Congratulations to the team at Trinity House residential learning disability service in Lockerbie, who have been shortlisted for a string of prestigious UK-wide awards.

The whole team has been shortlisted in the Care Home of the Year category at the Caring UK Awards, which recognise excellence and achievement within the care sector across the UK.

Trinity House has also been shortlisted in the upcoming Great British Care Awards, racking up no less than six finalist places in categories including Ancillary of the Year for Jeanette Swinhoe, Care Home Manager Award for Kirsty Dale, Learning Disability Nurse Award for Tracy Patterson, Care Planner/Assessor Award for Lesley McCulloch and the Care Home Chefs Award.

The catering team of Rikki and Amanda were shortlisted for their work in promoting healthy eating, reducing obesity and enabling and supporting independence within the people who use the services at Trinity House, while the care team have been recognised for their work in Positive Behaviour Support with a further shortlisting in the Care Home Innovator category.

The team will find out if they have been successful in the Great British Care Awards at a glittering awards ceremony in Manchester in November and at a second ceremony in Leicester in early December for the Caring UK Awards.

Operations director Melinda Glover said, “This string of awards nominations are testament to the fantastic work the team at Trinity House does to ensure they provide the very best care and support.

“Each member of staff goes above and beyond in so many ways to positively support people at Trinity House and these nominations are well-deserved.”
