On Friday 29th June, Cygnet Hospital Godden Green’s Saltwood Ward hosted a tea party to celebrate the success of their Recovery College. Staff, service users and carers got together for an afternoon of sandwiches, cake and music in the sun.
Service users who participated in the Recovery College received AQA accredited certificates in courses such as Household Budgeting, Basic ICT, Wellbeing Through Gardening and Listening to different music genres.
This was a brilliant day for carers to appreciate their loved one’s hard work at the Recovery College and a chance to celebrate with them. It was also an opportunity for them to get to know the team working on Saltwood even better.
Everybody really enjoyed the event and are looking forward to another successful term of Recovery College. The staff at Saltwood ward would like to pay special thanks to our Social Worker Maria, our Carers leads Suzanne and Zoe and the Recovery College Leads Zaneela and Eleanor for organizing the event.
