Pines raises money for Breast Cancer Now

On Friday 18th October the team at Pines, our specialist residential service in Mansfield Woodhouse for adults with autism, held an event to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the 18th October was a designated Wear It Pink Day. The team at Pines certainly took to the theme and decorated the summer house in the garden with pink balloons and bunting. Staff also wore pink and there were lots of pink buns and cakes as well.

It was a fantastic day all round, staff, local shops and families all donated excellent gifts for the event to raise as much money as possible. There was a raffle, games and a coffee and cake stall.

“All the residents at Pines were involved and loved every minute of it. Staff and members of the local community have been great and we can’t praise everyone enough for all their hard work.”Dale Cooper, Registered Manager

In total the team managed to raise £280. This was matched by Cygnet meaning that a total of £560 was raised for Breast Cancer Now. Well done team Pines!
