6th July 2021 Cygnet Lodge Woking opens a new acute service for men in honour of “caring and dedicated” healthcare workers A new acute mental health service for men has opened at Cygnet Lodge Woking in Surrey. George Willard Ward is a new 11-bed male mental health acute service and is named in memory of two local health care workers.
5th July 2021 Art in the Park helps build resilience at Cygnet Churchill In May, Cygnet Churchill launched a new therapeutic group for service users as part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2021. The ‘Art in the Park’ group is a collaboration between the Occupational Therapy and Psychology department which aims to empower service users to develop resilience and self-management skills using resources found in nature.
2nd July 2021 Celebrating with Pride at “Teilo Fest” The service users and staff team at Cygnet St Teilo House in Rhymney celebrated the end of Pride Month in style with their very own “Teilo Fest”. Entertainment was provided by a DJ, a busker as well as an interactive circus skills workshop.
