Cygnet plans to invest further in Orchard Portman House Hospital to provide enhanced therapy and support services for people with challenging needs.

“We are delighted that Orchard Portman House, which has an outstanding track record of mental health care, is to become part of Cygnet Health Care. Cygnet has long wanted to open further services in the South West of England – an area where we have strong customer relationships. This acquisition enables us to expand our provision in this important location. We very much look forward to working with Linda Hallett, the Hospital Manager, and her dedicated team to enable the continued development of the hospital, so that we can continue to deliver the highest quality care and support to all our service users.”David Cole, Chief Executive Officer, Cygnet Health Care

Cygnet Health Care is one of the largest independent providers of mental health services in the UK, and one of the leading specialist providers of services for eating disorders, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and adolescents, among others. The acquisition of Orchard Portman House Hospital helps to extend Cygnet Health Care’s portfolio of specialist mental health services for older adults.
