We would like to congratulate and wish them well in their new roles.

Sally Crawford – Hospital Manager

Sally is a Registered General and Mental Health Nurse with over 35 years of experience in a wide range of settings in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Dr Mark Gentry – Clinical Psychologist

Mark completed his first degree in Psychology at Thames Valley University. He completed his formal education with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2003 at East London University. Since then, he has held clinical posts in a wide range of inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, working for both NHS and private providers, and also in private practice.

In addition, for three years, Mark was Director of ‘The Training Company’, delivering training and consultation to support workers and organisations employing them. Mark’s main clinical interests and experience have been in psychosis, personality disorder and learning disability.

Racheal Young – Eating Disorders Unit, Service Manager

Racheal has worked in mental health services for over ten years, gaining experience in a wide range of services from A&E to forensics. She began her career as a healthcare assistant, where she discovered a passion for helping others. Racheal then studied Occupational Therapy (OT) at Teesside University to gain a deeper understanding of how to empower individuals to regain their independence.

While working as an OT on a forensic unit, Racheal had particular success supporting females with personality disorders. Racheal next led the OT department in male rehabilitation at The Cambian Group. Racheal then transferred to London where she managed an extended team of ten and developed the service around evidence based practice and service redesign. More recently Rachael has been the Head OT at Cygnet Hospital Ealing and Cygnet Lodge Kenton, focusing on developing the therapeutic aspects of the service and integrated working between departments.

Racheal’s appointment as the Service Manager of the eating disorders unit will see her work with service users and staff to develop a collaborative specialist eating disorders service.
