The Referral Line number is 0808 164 4450 and currently operates 7 days per week from 8am util 6pm Monday to Friday and from 9am to 5pm at weekends. From 11 September 2017 the line will remain open until 8pm on weeknights. The extension to opening hours is based on referral demand, and to enable the referral team to manage referrals received at the end of the working day all the way through to completion.
The Referral Line was originally launched in May 2017 in response to customer feedback in order to help streamline referrals to our emergency admission services.
Should a call be received out of Referral Line hours, it will be diverted to the service of your choice. We aim to respond to all Acute and PICU referrals within one hour of receipt of adequate clinical information.
