These scores are the result of a peer review visit to the hospital on 23rd January 2015. Initial feedback from the review identified the following areas as key achievements:

  • The welcoming and homely feel to the ward
  • The sound-proof activities room for the women to play music as loud as they wished without disturbing other service users
  • A clear ethos of multi-disciplinary team working in the service
  • Evidence of the involvement of family and friends
  • A robust supervision strategy
  • The use of patient mobiles on the ward for private phone calls
  • Supervised access to the internet for online shopping

“I have been impressed by the way in which the team on the ward have engaged with this external review each year and demonstrated the ability to learn and develop the service delivered on the ward to meet the needs of service users and carers. It is a credit to the team that they continue to innovate and develop how they work with service users. They demonstrate commitment and dedication and I am proud of their achievement.”David Colyer, Hospital Manager
