Cygnet Lodge Kenton achieves AIMS accreditation

We are pleased to announce that Cygnet Lodge Kenton is the latest Cygnet service to have achieved AIMS accreditation from the Royal College of Psychiatrists. AIMS (Accreditation of Inpatient Mental Health Services) is a national project developed to ensure best practice is being achieved in in-patient mental health services.

The decision to accredit Cygnet Lodge Kenton as Level 1 (excellent) was the result of a long process that culminated with an assessment visit from a peer review team on 11th March 2014. Amongst other things the peer review team assess standards of care, current facilities, standards of documentation and health records, environmental facilities, staff training qualifications, support and supervision.

Cygnet Lodge Kenton is a a female mental health rehabilitation service that provides treatment in a community setting for women experiencing complex mental illness, personality disorder or eating disorders, helping them re-establish and develop the skills they need to move on.
