The 12 Days of Care – A festive celebration of the qualities that make Cygnet people amazing

There’s no doubt this has been an incredibly challenging year and our staff have been nothing short of remarkable in the care they have given across Cygnet.

Faced with the challenges of 2020 our staff have shown qualities that exemplify what exceptional care looks like.

We wanted to capture what those qualities are so we held a series of workshops with a variety of staff across the organisation and they told us what they feel are the key characteristics of a Cygnet team member. We also asked our managers to describe what kind of people they would like in their teams, according to the characteristics and behaviours they need to succeed.

Consistent themes emerged and we’ve brought these qualities to life in the form of our 12 Characters of Care. Based on what you told us, we have animated the characters with a definition to describe each one.

We are proud our people have these characteristics

They represent what makes us special and how we put our values – Care, Respect, Empower, Trust and Integrity – into action.

We are launching them this Christmas to celebrate the qualities we have in common across our workforce that help to motivate, inspire and keep each other going, especially through the toughest times. They help us to appreciate each others contributions and build strong, trusting teams.
