Elston House anniversary party and ASDAN successes

Elston House,  our residential home in Newark for people with autism recently held an Anniversary Party. This year it was to celebrate eight years of being open, as well as the amazing success of the residents who passed a variety of ASDAN courses.

Claire Hudson-Green the Activity Coordinator planned the event, sending out invites to parents and family of the residents.

The day started with a small family forum which allowed the parents the opportunity to get together. This was followed by a presentation ceremony to all residents for the recent passing of ASDAN certificates.

Everyone had time to relax and have fun on the bouncy castle before the party food was served.

Feedback questionnaires were sent to family members and the comments were as follows:

“I thought it was great how you put the comfort of the residents first when receiving their certificates.”

“The food was delicious, staff were very attentive.”

“Really enjoyed meeting other family members and we would like the opportunity to do it again.”

“Thank you for continuing to support my brothers independence, I am so proud of him for achieving his award.”

Well done and Happy Anniversary Elston House.
