Cygnet Hospital Maidstone is our new state-of-the-art, 65 bed mental health facility for adults situated in the new Kent Medical Campus in Maidstone. The hospital is due to open in September 2018.
Dr Rasquinha completed his Higher Psychiatric training at South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and he also trained at the National Psychosis Service, the National Adult ADHD Service and the National Addictions Service at the Maudsley Hospital.
He has extensive experience of working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in a wide variety of settings including medium secure, low secure, rehabilitation, PICU and Acute wards. He has published in high impact peer reviewed journals and has presented at national and international conferences. He is passionate about quality improvement and has actively led service improvement initiatives. He has a special interest in Mental Health Law and has completed a Diploma in Mental Health Law.
Dr Rasquinha joins us from Priory Group where he has been working as a Medical Director since November 2016.

Cygnet Hospital Maidstone is purpose built to meet the latest national specifications for improving mental health within a therapeutic environment. The hospital will provide an important and much-needed service for local patients from Kent.
