David Wilmott, Cygnet’s new Director of Nursing with Rosalyn Mloyi Deputy Director of Nursing for the South
It is with great pleasure that we welcome David Wilmott as our new Director of Nursing. David joins us from Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust.

A Registered Nurse for more than 20 years, David has worked across a number of services including acute and mental health. David has experience of commissioning services from within the NHS, which gives him insight into the things that really matter to our service users and clients. David is keen to work closely with Commissioners to build productive relationships that will provide the foundation to excellent outcomes for those in our care.

David has a passion for Nursing Leadership, involving patients and residents in the improvement of services, and for patient safety. It is these areas he will focus on in the coming months. Working with Cygnet’s newly appointed Regional Deputy Directors of Nursing, Nick Horne and Rosalyn Mloyi, David is keen to get started.

“I am absolutely delighted to have been appointed Director of Nursing within Cygnet Health Care, I am really looking forward to working with our service users and staff to build on the huge achievements already made and I will have a real focus on supporting staff in the delivery of high quality care and developing a career framework for nurses throughout the organisation, I look forward to meeting many of you over the coming weeks.”David Wilmott, Director of Nursing

By strengthening the Nursing Leadership across Cygnet, the team’s first priority is to develop the support structures in place for our nurses and support workers. This will enable them to further improve the quality of care we deliver. David’s team will also be working on the development of career frameworks for nursing within Cygnet, as well as looking at how we can attract and retain nurses throughout the organisation.

“‘This week we welcome a very intelligent and talented Director of Nursing into Cygnet Health Care. David will work to improve retention of good Nurses, as well as looking at how we can improve the training and development we provide to our Nursing teams. David will introduce innovative programmes across the workforce in the coming months. I am excited to see how he will develop the role and to see the success he will inspire.”Tony Romero, Chief Executive
