Cygnet wins two awards at Business Achievement Awards

We are delighted to announce that we have won the Employee of the Year and the Business Collaboration of the Year awards at Wolverhampton University’s Business Achievement Awards which were held at Molineux Stadium on 19th June.

The Business Achievement Awards recognise individuals and companies that have made an excellent contribution to enterprise and the regional economy.

Katy Blakemore of Cygnet Sherwood House won the Employee of the Year Award. She won because of her passion and commitment to the Trainee Nursing Associate Programme and the preventing self-harm campaign #youcrywecry.

“I was overwhelmed at being nominated in the first place and then to be win is phenomenal. I would like to thank the teams at Cygnet Sherwood House for their continued support, the Associate nurses in my group who were inspirational working on the Project youcrywecry, especially the young people who were involved and those who made comments on social media. I would also like to thank Suzanne Smith and Roy Thompson the tutor for their continued belief that I could win such an accolade.”Katy Blakemore, Cygnet Sherwood House

The Business Collaboration of the Year Award was awarded to Walsall and Black Country Partnership, of which Cygnet is a partner, for their work in supporting our Trainee Nursing Associate Programme and their placement opportunities.

Congratulations to Suzanne Smith, our Apprenticeship Manager, for her work with the Walsall Black Country Partnership and to Katy Blakemore for winning the awards. We are very proud of you.
