Judged by an expert panel of Fleet World Group editors, the awards cover 38 categories and recognise latest innovations. This includes work among service suppliers to help fleets run their operations and vehicles in a safer, greener and more efficient manner.
Cygnet’s Fleet Department proudly walked away with their Fleet Management Superstars Award at a prestigious London ceremony on 29th March.
Katharine Draper, Group Fleet Manager, said: “I nominated my small, hardworking team of 3 because of their outstanding achievements in improving fleet and driver safety. My application referenced the extensive risk management activities we have completed and the benefits this has achieved, as well as our ‘all hands on deck’ approach demonstrated over the pandemic.
“This award is a happy recognition of the ‘above and beyond’ work undertaken by my team, in particular our efforts to develop excellent relationships with key suppliers and Cygnet colleagues and our focus on passenger comfort and care.
“We will invest this positive energy to drive works on the current fleet electrification transition project … watch this space!”
About Cygnet’s Fleet team
Cygnet run a fleet of 265 vehicles. Over the last few years the team have invested heavily to improve the fleet. This began with a switch from rental vehicles to Cygnet specified and owned cars and minibuses and investment in technology and streamlined processes.
Cygnet now enjoys comprehensive driver approval, a proactive vehicle maintenance database and advanced GPS tracking.
All these changes have resulted in a reduction of CO2 emissions by 90 tonnes each year. The changes have also improved the experience of the people in our care and our staff.
