Cygnet receives Bronze for Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme

Cygnet are proud to have received the Bronze Award from the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).

The ERS recognises commitment and support from UK employers for defence personnel. The scheme comprises bronze, silver and gold awards for employers who support those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families.

Cygnet is a proud signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant. Our recruitment initiatives are Armed Forces-friendly with programmes to promote and encourage applications from reservists, Armed Forces veterans (including the wounded, injured and sick), cadet instructors and military spouses/partners.

Cygnet’s appointed Armed Forces champion, Barry Swire, Operations Director, is also leading the launch of a new Cygnet Veterans Network. The Network will aim to support existing or prospective employees who are members of the Armed Forces community.

Barry said: “Following a fantastic 27-year career in the Royal Navy, I am proud to be part or an organisation that recognises the veterans and wider Armed Forces community. Military service brings with it a very transferable skillset but sometimes employers may not recognise this and these individuals may be overlooked. I am immensely proud to be part of Cygnet who have made a commitment to be Armed Forces friendly.”
