On Your Bike is a registered charity based in Taunton. Their key aim is to train and employ the socially underprivileged, ex-servicemen and long term unemployed. Their vision is to support volunteers to improve their lives and gain in employability skills. To date the charity have recycled or serviced over 3,000 bikes.
The addition of these four bikes will help add to Cygnet Hospital Taunton’s already diverse range of activities through their Active Life and other therapy programmes within the hospital grounds. The benefits of cycling to health are widely known and is proved to be hugely beneficial for mental health. Riding a bike is fun and a low-impact form of exercise for all ages. Service users at Cygnet Hospital Taunton will now be able to enjoy this exercise on a daily basis.

Cygnet Hospital Taunton provides specialist inpatient services for older adults with mental health problems and for men diagnosed with a learning disability. The hospital also provides an acute inpatient admissions service for men over the age of 18.
