Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke’s Christmas Donation

2020 has been a difficult year for all of us, but at Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke they felt that those who aren’t as fortunate as us really needed some help this year.

Donation boxes were placed around the hospital to collect food, bedding, clothes and more for a local charity, Somewhere to Go, and for the Food Bank. Somewhere to Go is a charity located in Weston Super-Mare that provides “somewhere to go” for homeless vulnerable and disadvantaged people; providing a warm, safe refuge, including hot food, showers, clean clothing and a listening ear. They provide this service day and night 365 days a year.

The staff of Kewstoke were invited to donate items with a promise that the hospital would match and double the total. Staff donated a marvellous 300 items which were matched, resulting in a total of 600 items to be split between the two organisations.

Both organisations were truly thankful and would like to thank the wonderful staff for being so generous during this difficult time. Well done to everyone at Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke.
