Cygnet Hospital Godden Green’s Recovery College Open Day

Last week the team at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green held an open day for their Recovery College. The event was well attended by staff and service users.

Cygnet’s Recovery Colleges offer educational courses designed to provide increased understanding of mental health and support people through their recovery, promoting hope, opportunity and aspirations for the future. Service users are empowered to become experts in their own wellbeing and recovery.

On the day, service users and staff had the opportunity to have a look at the courses available, chat to the Recovery College lead and register interest in the courses they want to attend.

Courses in a variety of areas are on the agenda including Physical Health and Wellbeing, Personal Development and Mental Health Awareness to name a few.

Zoe Collins, Godden Green Recovery College Lead, said:

“It was a fantastic response from service users and staff and lovely to see everyone so keen and motivated to be part of Recovery College. Some have already registered their interest and are looking forward to starting. We are all ready and raring to go!”
