Cygnet’s relationship with the team goes back to 2015 and we are delighted to continue the partnership. Our logo will feature on the front of senior first team shirts when the team returns to action at the end of September.

Sponsoring Mold Alexandra enables our staff and service users to feel connected to local activities and events and, as well as demystifying the service that Cygnet offers, we hope it also raises awareness of mental health.”
Cygnet Delfryn House is a 28-bed high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men who suffer mental illness. We also offer a specialised women’s high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service at Cygnet Delfryn Lodge.
The state-of-the-art service delivers treatment and support with wellness in mind, providing a safe and comfortable environment to promote rehabilitation and recovery. The specialist team helps all service users to tackle the challenges of mental health and enhance their personal skills to rebuild their lives.
The partnership between the hospital and the football club has flourished recently as the service users from Delfryn have been involved in voluntary work, including helping the kitchen on match days. They also hope to get involved in preparing the match day programme. Cygnet Delfryn House and Lodge also co-hosted a fundraising event to mark World Mental Health Day with Mold Alexandra FC last year.
Rebecca added: “There are benefits for our residents as well and we are very keen to attend matches. One of the options we are exploring is to create a volunteers programme for residents, where they will be able to get involved in events at the club and get experience.”
Sarah Cunningham, Chair of Mold Alexandra FC, said: “We have been sponsored by Cygnet for six years now and it’s still going strong. It is really important to us to support mental health and obviously, the sponsorship from them brings the two together.”
She added: “Everyone is really excited to play football again and looking forward to normality returning. We are conscious that the lockdown has seen a rise nationally in the number of people suffering with mental health issues. I hope that the start of the new football season can provide a relief for many people who struggled with the lockdown.”
