Cygnet appoints Head of NHS Partnerships to lead on New Care Models

Cygnet Health Care is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Winn to the new role of Head of NHS Partnerships.

In June we announced that NHS England had confirmed Cygnet Health Care as a partner in three of the 11 wave 2 new care model programmes to take on devolved tertiary mental health commissioning. This is in addition to Cygnet’s involvement within established wave 1 pilots.

The purpose of these commissioning pilot projects is to create new models of care for services within secure adult mental health, CAMHS, and eating disorders. By creating new partnerships, the aim is to explore new opportunities to improve local and regional care pathways for service users.

This role has been created to support Cygnet’s Commercial Director, Lee Hammon, to deliver on the objectives set out within the new care model business cases, and ensure full engagement with the programmes in collaboration with provider partners.

In addition, Michelle will work with NHS England as part of the regional mental health service review programme. The reviews are covering all adult secure and CAMHS services. Michelle will be working closely with Cygnet’s clinical and operations teams, to ensure that Cygnet is able to meet the needs of the review.
