Celebrating with Pride at “Teilo Fest”

The service users and staff team at Cygnet St Teilo House in Rhymney celebrated the end of Pride Month in style with their very own “Teilo Fest”.

The festival took a lot of preparation and everyone enjoyed the build up to the day with lots of decorating and hard work to get the garden looking amazing. Entertainment was provided by a DJ, a busker, as well as an interactive circus skills workshop.

Everyone embraced the festival spirit with bright clothes and a makeup artist attended to spread the glitter spirit some more. The fantastic kitchen staff provided delicious mocktails and street food for the day and there was even a visit from the ice-cream van.

After what has been a difficult 15 months the festival was a much needed pick me up for all. Feedback from service users and staff included the following comments:

“Loved every minute of it”

“Bringing the smiles back on everyone’s faces”

“It was sensational, there have been good times, but in all the years I have been here, THIS WAS THE BEST!!!”
