Adrian Ashurst interviewed on BBC Radio Manchester

Cygnet’s Specialist Trainer, Adrian Ashurst, has been on the airwaves this week promoting Mental Health Awareness Week and the importance of looking out for each other.

The theme for this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week is loneliness. We know that feeling lonely can have an impact on our mental wellbeing and the pandemic put this into sharper focus as many people became more isolated over a prolonged period of time.

Adrian took time out to speak with BBC Radio Manchester’s Adaeze Chiwoko to share tips on recognising signs of loneliness, what to do if you feel lonely and how we can support each other. He also talks about the impact of the pandemic on people’s mental wellbeing.

You can also read more tips about overcoming feelings of loneliness in Adrian’s recent blog.
