Our 2nd Annual Cygnet Occupational Therapy Conference 2019 took place on Thursday 7th November during National Occupational Therapy Week. The theme of this year’s conference was “Building Environments that Inspire Growth”.

100 delegates attended the conference to listen to and participate in the workshops, seminars, posters and presentations.

This year’s conference included specific awards for Cygnet Occupational Therapists. The 2019 Awards were presented to:

  • Rebecca Matson – Leadership in Clinical Research Award 2019
  • Victoria Wisniewski – Excellence in Clinical Development Award 2019
  • Rebecca Gower – Inspiration Award 2019
  • Nicole Dadhley – Occupational Therapist of the Year Award 2019

Kay Bolton, Emma Crowcroft and Sylvia Dubarry (Directors of Occupational Therapy; Cygnet Health Care) said, “We would like to thank all of the delegates, conference team and the presenters for supporting the event. We were very impressed to see the quality of the different presentations from our Occupational Therapists and OT Assistants.

“This event is so important to share best practice and network across the company. Throughout the day delegates were talking about the different ideas they had taken from conference and how they would be implementing these within their own setting to enhance the environment further for the people we care for.”

Thank you to Kay, Emma and Sylvia for organising the event and congratulations to all the award winners.
