We asked for creative original artwork that we could print and become our 2020 Cygnet Christmas Cards. We had over 100 entries from 30 different services and wards, and the standard was extremely high.
We had hoped to hold a festive judging day in November with staff and service users getting together to vote for their favourite designs. Unfortunately due to the national lockdown this was unable to go ahead and so we had to find an alternative way to choose the winners.
Service users and residents across the group and the senior management team were all sent a shortlisted selection of entries and score sheets, we were then able to total all of the scores to determine the top 10.
We had an amazing range of artwork entered including glitter and sequins, origami, paintings and even some 3D pieces. The selection and variety was fantastic which made it extremely difficult to judge.
After counting all the votes, we are proud to announce our 3 winners:
- 1st place – Broughton Lodge in Macclesfield
- 2nd place – Broughton House in Lincolnshire
- 3rd place – Cygnet Hospital Beckton in London
The winners will all receive copies of their cards and a gift voucher.
As the standards were so high we are also featuring the top 10 on the back of each card. Artwork from the following services were selected as part of the top 10 and are our runners up:
