On-going assessment and high staffing levels, based on a minimum ratio of one staff member to two service users, means that we are able to meet the changing needs of service users as they progress through their care pathway, while ensuring their safety is maintained and their independence supported.

Regular review meetings involving the service user, their family and professionals are held to review outcomes, set new goals and re-assess support levels as people progress.

Our approach

We place individuals at the heart of everything in a partnership arrangement wherever possible.

We ensure day-to-day practice is embedded in an overarching framework of support whereby the whole team around the person consciously takes into account the interaction, communication and flexibility of each individual we support.

We provide a comprehensive individually tailored care / support place that is proactively delivered by the whole staff team in an integrated, systematic and consistent manner.

We aim to enable individuals to become full citizens in their community, regardless of their learning disability, complex needs and behaviours labelled as challenging.

The people we support

  • Adults from the age of 18
  • Individuals with a primary diagnosis of learning disability accompanied with challenging behaviour including mental illness, co-morbid substance misuse or a forensic background
  • Individuals with a secondary diagnosis of personality disorder or mental health
  • We accept individuals under most sections of the Mental Health Act 1983
