Norcott House

75 Leeds Road, Liversedge, WF15 6JA

Norcott House is an 11 bed enhanced community residential home providing outcome focused care for adults with learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge and associated complex needs.

Norcott House offers a modern purpose-built residential accommodation with spacious communal areas and an enclosed outdoor garden within a homely family-style environment. The 11 beds are spilt across four separate living units.

Located in the suburbs of Liversedge in West Yorkshire, the home is within close proximity to local services and amenities, including major transport links.

On-going assessment and high staffing levels, based on a minimum ratio of one staff member to two service users, means that we are able to meet the changing needs of service users as they progress through their care pathway, while ensuring their safety is maintained and their independence supported. Regular review meetings involving the service user, their family and professionals are held to review outcomes, set new goals and re-assess support levels as people progress.

The management and staff team have comprehensive training, including all mandatory training and bespoke training specific to the needs of the residents, this includes CIS, Safeguarding, food safety, first aid, MAPA, mental health, mental capacity and record keeping.

We ensure day-to-day practice is embedded in an overarching framework of support whereby the whole team around the person consciously takes into account the interaction, communication and flexibility of each individual we support.

We provide a comprehensive individually tailored care / support place that is proactively delivered by the whole staff team in an integrated, systematic and consistent manner.

We aim to enable individuals to become full citizens in their community, regardless of their learning disability, complex needs and behaviours labelled as challenging.
