Usha Devi - Head of Care, Sedgley House

Usha joined Cygnet Sedgley House as a student nurse before taking up a permanent position as a support worker. She enjoyed her role, especially arranging therapeutic activities at the weekends. When she qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 2006 she knew straight away that she wanted to work at Sedgley. Usha has gained lots of experience visiting and working in other units and was promoted to Senior Nurse before her current post as Head of Care.

Hailey Roberts - Specialist Occupational Therapist

Hailey joined the team in January 2023 having previously worked for a local authority within their Adults Social Care Prevention Team. In addition to her previous role, Hailey has experience working within an secure inpatients unit for individuals with Eating Disorders. Hailey is passionate about supporting individuals within all stages of their rehabilitation journey, motivating them to achieve their personal goals.

Nikki Saunders - Preceptor Forensic Psychologist

Nikki joined Cygnet in 2017 as an Assistant Psychologist before starting her Forensic Psychology Doctorate at the University of Birmingham. She completed her placements with Cygnet, working as a Trainee Forensic Psychologist across a range of settings.

Nikki joined Cygnet Sedgley House & Lodge in January 2023 as a Preceptor Psychologist whilst finalising her thesis. Nikki finds working in mental health rehabilitation very rewarding, and is passionate about supporting individuals in their recovery.

Nathan Bradley – Assistant Psychologist

Nathan has worked at Sedgley since December 2021 and this is his first role as an assistant psychologist after studying psychology at Keele university and a masters in applied clinical psychology at Bath. He hopes to progress to become a Clinical Psychologist.

Nathan enojys his work at Sedgley and values working in a rehabilitation setting, where he is able to see service users make progress throughout their recovery.

Ellen Rogers - Assistant Psychologist

Ellen studied at Bristol University, graduating with her undergraduate psychology degree in 2020. In 2021 she completed a masters degree in which she presented research on the topic of the co-occurrence of eating disorders and psychotic disorders in the general population.

Ellen has experience volunteering for a charity supporting adults who experienced abuse during childhood. and feels privileged to work at Sedgley. Getting to know the service users and seeing them progress on their journey is something she finds extremely rewarding. Ellen would like to study a PhD in Clinical Psychology in the future.

Bethany Tetteh - Registered Nurse Associate

Bethany has been working for Cygnet since 2017 where she started as a support worker. In 2018 she embarked on a Cygnet Nurse Apprenticeship and has been a qualified Registered Nurse Associate since 2021. She is current studying her Nursing Degree Apprenticeship top-up through Cygnet. Bethany is enjoying the course and is thankful of the opportunities she has had to learn at Cygnet.
