Information for Visitors

Cygnet Lodge Lewisham

At Cygnet Lodge Lewisham, the following visiting hours apply:

Visiting hours are 10am to 8pm. Visitors are not allowed in patient bedrooms and we have limited visiting space; so all visits will need to be booked in advance by telephone. Please check if your relative or friend has therapy sessions planned.

No children under the age of 18 will be allowed to visit the unit under any circumstances. There are lots of local cafes and we encourage families with children to meet away from the unit.

What to expect

Cygnet Lodge Lewisham looks like a large house in the community but is still a hospital. On arrival you will be welcomed by a member of staff who will ask you to sign in.

Parking

We do not have our own parking facilities. There is pay and display parking on Lewisham Park. This costs £1 an hour and is available for up to 4 hours until 7pm when it is free.

What not to bring

We operate a contraband list. These items are restricted on the unit for the safety of Service Users, visitors and staff. Please refer to the list below before coming to the unit. We may ask to search your bags on entering the unit. If you do accidentally bring any items on the list don’t worry, you can hand them in to the nursing staff and they will be returned to you when you leave.
