Information for Visitors

There are no set visiting hours at Cygnet Hospital Ealing and both wards are very flexible. However, it is important to make sure that visits are arranged in advance. This can be done by contacting the hospital on 020 8991 6699. Visitors are also asked to avoid coming at meal times and during therapy group sessions.

Visitors to the unit must sign in the visitor’s book at reception, detailing their name, date and time. This is to comply with fire and security procedures.

If for any reason staff believe that receiving visitors is disruptive to a patient’s treatment, this will be discussed with the patient and visitor. If a patient requests that they do not wish to receive visitors, this will be respected and communicated to the nurse-in-charge.

All children visiting the unit must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

What not to bring

To ensure the safety of our service users, visitors and staff at all times we operate a contraband list of items which are not allowed on the unit. Please do not bring any of the items on the list below to the unit. You will be asked when signing in if you have any of these items and may be asked to search your bags before entry to the unit. If you do accidentally bring any items on the list don’t worry, you can hand them in at reception or to the nursing staff and they will be returned to you when you leave.
