Emma has worked across a number of services including East London Foundation Trust as consultant psychiatrist in psychotherapy post in the Specialist Psychotherapy Service in City & Hackney. She has also held post of Lead clinician in a well-established personality disorder service, providing teaching training, supervision and reflective practice to different professional groups.
In her role at the NHSE Personality Disorder advisory group, Emma helped develop a service specification for tier 4 PD services in England, developing commissioning arrangements and New Care Models for this group of patients.
Emma is the Responsible Clinician for patients in New Dawn Ward. She currently co-chairs the regional personality disorder steering group which is tasked with helping to embed the new model of care across our sites in Cygnet. She has led on quality improvement initiatives in New Dawn ward and set up a regular Journal club which all staff can access.
Emma’s vision is to improve the hospital in collaboration with staff, patients and their carers and to build links with the local community to promote recovery for the patients we serve.
Dr Mistry is the Responsible Clinician (RC) for inpatients of Sunrise ward. He holds dual specialist training in General Adult & Old Age Psychiatry and previously worked for Oxford Health Community Eating Disorder services. He completed his psychiatric training through the University College London (UCL) Psychiatry training scheme.
Amit is the chair of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) Sport & Exercise Psychiatry Group, a visiting clinical lecturer (QMUL) and mental health advisor to Oxford University Sport. His published research focuses on eating disorders, exercise addiction, psychiatric epidemiological trends and well-being within sport. Recently, he published ‘Case Studies in Sports Psychiatry’. This was the first-ever psychiatry book to have been co-authored by clinicians and elite athletes
Margaret has worked in mental health services for over 11 years. She started her career as a health care assistant where she developed her passion for working with people with mental health difficulties. Margaret studied in Ireland and graduated with a Bsc in mental health nursing from University College Cork and has gained experience across a wide range of mental health services while in Ireland. Since moving to the London, Margaret has worked in the independent sector and progressed from staff nurse to senior staff nurse while working on a female general psychiatry ward.
In November 2019 Margaret joined Cygnet Ealing as a clinical team lead on Sunrise, the eating disorders unit. Her passion for working with and understanding people with eating disorder grew from here. She went to become deputy ward manager and in March 2021 she became ward manager on Sunrise. Margaret is skilled in operational management, risk management and quality improvement. She has a keen interest in service development, staff development and working collaboratively with service users to promote recovery from eating disorders. Margaret is motivated to lead the service to continued success in the years to come with the invaluable support, enthusiasm and knowledge of her colleagues.
Tara joined Cygnet Hospital Ealing in January 2020 as Office Manager initially on a temporary contract before becoming permanent in June 2020 . Tara managed the Administration Department whilst maintaining responsibility for HR within the Hospital.
Tara was appointed Support Services Manager of Cygnet Hospital Ealing in January 2021 and is now responsible for all non-clinical services including estates, catering, housekeeping and admin including MHA & training across the site. Tara Is also a SRG Rep as well as a StRaW practitioner for Ealing.
