Sally Crawford – Hospital Manager

Sally is a Registered General and Mental Health Nurse with over 35 years of experience in a wide range of settings in both Australia and the United Kingdom. For the last 20 years Sally has worked in the independent sector, mainly in specialist eating disorder and personality disorder services, most recently for Sinoue Nightingale Hospital in Marylebone.

Sally returned to Cygnet Health Care in August 2019 where she has previous experience in both commercial and clinical roles.

Olajumoke Adegoke - Clinical Services Manager

Ola joined Cygnet as a staff nurse in 2005 with dual qualification of RGN and RMN. Ola is a fully trained DBT nurse specialist. Ola became the ward manager of New Dawn ward in Cygnet Hospital Beckton in 2009 and played a key role in several transformational changes that took this ward to excellence in provision of treatment for females with personality disorder.

In 2013, Ola became the service manager for the personality disorder service in Beckton following service structural changes. Recently, Ola has been working as Quality Assurance Manager for Cygnet Hospital Beckton before being appointed as Clinical Manager for Ealing and Kenton.

She has won several awards as a manager and nurse and is well acknowledged for her dedication to improving service user and carer experiences, for robust systems and processes and for her unwavering dedication to achieving excellence in her area of work.

Dr Kevin Healy - Medical Director

Kevin is a Consultant Psychiatrist in Medical Psychotherapy and an active member of the multidisciplinary team on the New Dawn Personality Disorder Assessment and Treatment Service. He retired from the NHS in 2011 with much experience of working with individuals and families who suffer the impact of personality disorder on their lives. He has always been active in medical management, teaching and training, and in encouraging real patient involvement in their treatments and in the development of therapeutic services.

Kevin is a past Chair of the Faculty of Medical Psychotherapy, RCPsych, and a past Chair of the Association of Therapeutic Communities. He brings these experiences to Cygnet Ealing and Kenton and seeks to continue to learn about and develop his clinical work with patients and their families.

Kosi Nojaduka - New Dawn Ward Manager

Kosi has over two decades of experience in various areas of nursing. She decided to specialise in the field of Psychiatry which she started in 1999. Kosi joined Cygnet Health in 2004 as an RMN. She then progressed to be a Team Leader in Sunrise Unit (EDU) and Cygnet Lodge Kenton (Female step down unit). She joined New Dawn team as ward manager in April 2016.

Kosi is one of our dedicated PMVA instructors and she further instructs the Blended Mandatory Training and ILS. Kosi is one of our staff members who received training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and has been involved in its implementation in Cygnet Lodge Kenton for women with Personality Disorder. Kosi is also trained in other psychological therapies which includes PsyAn. Her passion is to develop and support staff in achieving and maintaining high standards of safe and effective care to service users.

Racheal Young – Eating Disorders Unit, Service Manager

Racheal has worked in mental health services for over ten years, gaining experience in a wide range of services from A&E to forensics. She began her career as a healthcare assistant, where she discovered a passion for helping others. Racheal then studied Occupational Therapy (OT) at Teesside University to gain a deeper understanding of how to empower individuals to regain their independence.

While working as an OT on a forensic unit, Racheal had particular success supporting females with personality disorders. Racheal next led the OT department in male rehabilitation at The Cambian Group. Racheal then transferred to London where she managed an extended team of ten and developed the service around evidence based practice and service redesign. More recently Rachael has been the Head OT at Cygnet Hospital Ealing and Cygnet Lodge Kenton, focusing on developing the therapeutic aspects of the service and integrated working between departments.

Racheal’s appointment as the Service Manager of the eating disorders unit will see her work with service users and staff to develop a collaborative specialist eating disorders service.

Dr Mark Gentry – Clinical Psychologist

Mark completed his first degree in Psychology at Thames Valley University. He completed his formal education with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2003 at East London University. Since then, he has held clinical posts in a wide range of inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, working for both NHS and private providers, and also in private practice.

In addition, for three years, Mark was Director of ‘The Training Company’, delivering training and consultation to support workers and organisations employing them. Mark’s main clinical interests and experience have been in psychosis, personality disorder and learning disability.

Dr Ranjit Mann - Counselling Psychologist

Ranjit Mann is a fully qualified Chartered Counselling Psychologist. She uses a warm, empathetic approach to her work with patients, while providing movement and encouragement for emotional healing and growth.

Ranjit’s position as a therapist, which is both interactive and transparent, is based on co-creating a collaborative and respectful relationship between therapist and client. In reflection of the diversity required to be effective in this work, she adopts a flexible and integrative approach that incorporates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR (trained to Level III), Dialectical Based Skills (DBT), Mindfulness and systemic therapies to work towards the goals and health of each individual. All of her approaches are consistent with the best practice evidence as indicated by The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).

Emily Mercer - Senior Social Work and Safeguarding Lead

Emily is Cygnet Hospital Ealing’s Social Worker and Adult Safeguarding Lead. Emily has over 12 years of experience as a Social Worker, working in variety of settings including Community services, Local Authority and the Independent Sector. Emily has previous experience as an Addictions Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

Emily works closely with families, professionals and is an advocate for all our service users.

Emily’s special interests includes Sandplay therapy, safeguarding, as well as Women’s rights and issues.
