Cygnet Hospital Blackheath provides inpatient low secure and PICU services for men with a mental health illness. We accept urgent admissions from all over the country for people in acute psychiatric distress and can assess and transfer urgent prison referrals swiftly. We also provide an intensive programme of recovery in our low secure mental health ward, developing a personal therapeutic timetable to meet the needs of service users whatever their stage of recovery. Cygnet Hospital Blackheath is part of our integrated male care pathway of services in south-east London that also includes our ‘step down’ mental health rehabilitation service at Cygnet Lodge Lewisham. I am now working at Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park and also going to college doing an Urban Garden Design course. 15th June 2018 Cygnet Hospital Blackheath celebrate Men’s Health Week This week it is Men’s Health Week and the focus this year is on diabetes. Cygnet Hospital Blackheath, which provides low secure mental health and PICU services for men, celebrated Men’s Health Week by producing a workshop service users on managing and preventing diabetes.
26th March 2018 20th anniversary celebrations for Cygnet Hospital Blackheath On Thursday 22nd March a special lunch was held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Cygnet Hospital Blackheath. The lunch was well attended by service users and staff, including some team members who have moved on to other roles within Cygnet and who came back to Blackheath especially for the occasion.
17th May 2017 Surviving or Thriving – Cygnet Hospital Blackheath celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week On Friday 12th May Cygnet Hospital Blackheath hosted an event to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week. The event focussed on the positive message of this year’s theme of 'Surviving or Thriving'.
