Meet the Team

Judith Etheridge - Hospital Manager

Judith has been a Registered Nurse for over twenty five years and has extensive experience in service transformation and quality improvement within the NHS. Judith completed a Master’s degree in Mental Health Interventions at Middlesex University she has an interest in enhancing female services.

She has worked in a variety of mental health settings and is experienced in delivering services at operational and strategic levels. Judith was formerly Associate Director for Nursing at a London NHS Foundation Trust and previously Deputy Director for Quality in the North West. She places a strong emphasis on service quality and service user experience.

Awa Bah - Clinical Services Manager

Awa is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 12yrs experience of working in Forensic Medium and Low Secure Rehabilitation Services within the NHS. Awa has a keen interest in working with women and was the Modern Matron for the Female Forensic Service and Forensic Personality Disorder Unit with East London NHS Foundation Trust.

Awa’s areas of expertise include Quality Improvement, recovery oriented practice, staff development and physical health. Prior to becoming a nurse, Awa worked extensively with the voluntary sector in the areas of youth work and healthcare.

Awa has a Master’s Degree in Public Health and is a PRINCE2 project management Practitioner.

Jackie Wolf - General Manager

Jackie has worked at Cygnet Hospital Beckton since 1999 and has been instrumental in the changing development in the hospital. Jackie is responsible for all non-clinical services across the unit. In addition, she manages the HR and Mental Health Act departments. Jackie has a BSc in Psychology and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD. She provides a valuable professional perspective and insight to create and deliver integrated HR services and solutions that drives effective and efficient service delivery at Cygnet Hospital Beckton.

Dr Morgan Haldane - Consultant Psychiatrist - New Dawn Ward

Dr Morgan Haldane, MB BS BSc MRCPsych PhD, is the Consultant Psychiatrist for New Dawn Ward. Dr Haldane previously worked at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and more recently at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Haldane was awarded the 2006 Wyeth Psychopharmacology Award by the British Association for Psychopharmacology (BAP) and the 2008 Samuel Gershon Award for Junior Investigators by the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD). He has trained in CBT, Applied Hypnosis, EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapies. He is a member of the British Association for Psychopharmacology (BAP) and the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

Dr Haldane has interests in both medication-based treatment as well as psychological interventions for psychiatric disorders. His practice is grounded in patient-centred, collaborative and compassionate approach to facilitate change.

Dr Shelltunyan Pearce - Quality Compliance Lead

Shelltunyan completed his training in 1992 and has since worked in various mental health and learning disability settings in South Africa and the United Kingdom. He has completed a Master’s Degree, PhD degree and the Registered Manager’s Award (Level 4): Learning Disability. Shelltunyan is also CBT trained and joined Cygnet Health Care in 2011.

Olga Konstantinidou - Head of Psychological Services & DBT Lead

Olga is an HCPC registered Consultant Clinical Psychologist and the Head of Psychological Services at Cygnet Hospital Beckton.

Olga has completed her studies in Greece, MSc Social and Clinical Psychology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (recognized as equivalent to UK Clinical Psychology Doctorate) and has a breadth of experience working in mental health care industry. Olga has strong clinical experience working with a broad range of therapeutic models (CBT, Schema, DBT, Group Analytic therapy, Systemic, CAT), psychological assessment tools and complex clinical presentations.

Olga is specialized in Personality Disorders and has a special interest and involvement in areas of leadership and service development. Since 2017 Olga has led the DBT Program at Cygnet Hospital Beckton (Adherent DBT for Personality Disorders & Adapted DBT Program for LD population), and the Adapted DBT Program for LD population was awarded with the APT Award for Excellence in DBT, 2018.

Olga has been passionate about psychology ever since she entered this field and she strongly aspires driving people towards change, acceptance and personal growth.

Jennifer Beal - Head of Occupational Therapy

Jennifer Beal qualified as an occupational therapist in 1994, and has worked in secure care settings since 1995. Jennifer has experience of working in the NHS and independent healthcare provision, she worked as a therapy manager for medium and low secure services in East London, leaving in 2003 for a management position in St Andrews Healthcare. In 2012 Jennifer joined Cygnet Healthcare as Head of Occupational Therapy for Beckton, Blackheath and Lewisham.

Jennifer strongly believes in continuous professional development and has completed a large amount of training to develop specialist skills and knowledge in secure care, including; an MSc, practitioners certificates in complementary medicine, certificate in gym instruction, psychosocial interventions and family work, CBT and DBT skills training.

Jennifer is driven and focused to improve training and provision of recovery oriented practice to improve clinical effectiveness and service user satisfaction.
