Judith has been a Registered Nurse for over twenty five years and has extensive experience in service transformation and quality improvement within the NHS. Judith completed a Master’s degree in Mental Health Interventions at Middlesex University she has an interest in enhancing female services.
She has worked in a variety of mental health settings and is experienced in delivering services at operational and strategic levels. Judith was formerly Associate Director for Nursing at a London NHS Foundation Trust and previously Deputy Director for Quality in the North West. She places a strong emphasis on service quality and service user experience.
Awa is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 12yrs experience of working in Forensic Medium and Low Secure Rehabilitation Services within the NHS. Awa has a keen interest in working with women and was the Modern Matron for the Female Forensic Service and Forensic Personality Disorder Unit with East London NHS Foundation Trust.
Awa’s areas of expertise include Quality Improvement, recovery oriented practice, staff development and physical health. Prior to becoming a nurse, Awa worked extensively with the voluntary sector in the areas of youth work and healthcare.
Awa has a Master’s Degree in Public Health and is a PRINCE2 project management Practitioner.
Dr Morgan Haldane, MB BS BSc MRCPsych PhD, is the Consultant Psychiatrist for New Dawn Ward. Dr Haldane previously worked at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and more recently at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr Haldane was awarded the 2006 Wyeth Psychopharmacology Award by the British Association for Psychopharmacology (BAP) and the 2008 Samuel Gershon Award for Junior Investigators by the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD). He has trained in CBT, Applied Hypnosis, EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapies. He is a member of the British Association for Psychopharmacology (BAP) and the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
Dr Haldane has interests in both medication-based treatment as well as psychological interventions for psychiatric disorders. His practice is grounded in patient-centred, collaborative and compassionate approach to facilitate change.
Charles is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a degree in mental health nursing and PRINCE2 Practitioner certification in Project Management. He has many years of experience working in medium / low secure rehabilitation services and general acute services in hospital setting and also has experience working in a community setting, with service users with forensic history, challenging behaviour, drug and alcohol misuse and personality disorder. He has worked in East London NHS Foundation Trust and also worked in South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, giving him a varied experience.
Charles is passionate about improving clinical practice and enhancing service user experience, and as such led projects to this effect. Charles has facilitated training in Promoting Safe and Therapeutic Services and he is keen in supporting and empowering others to deliver safe and effective care.
Dr. Sidrah Muntaha (DClinPsych, CPsychol, AFBPsS, FRSA) is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with an interest in working in an integrative way using cognitive-behavioural, systemic and psychodynamic models across in-patient services. She is a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology and an Associate Fellow as well as Chartered member of the British Psychological Society. She is also an Associate Member of the British Association for Music Therapy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Sidrah has worked in the NHS for the past 20 years which includes North East London Foundation Trust where she led the implementation of Positive Behavioural Support in a psychiatric in-patient service as well as monthly wellbeing workshops across the trust to improve staff morale and motivation. Sidrah enjoys developing psychological mindedness in teams & organisations through teaching, training, supervision & consultation. She has an interest in psychosis, learning disabilities and the application of music and arts to engage service users experiencing mental health difficulties.
Sidrah has published in peer reviewed journals on self-harm, clinical effectiveness & CBT-Music and regularly contributes through public speaking in conferences, academic forums as well as in local television and media channels to promote psychological theory and mental health awareness.
Jennifer Beal qualified as an occupational therapist in 1994, and has worked in secure care settings since 1995. Jennifer has experience of working in the NHS and independent healthcare provision, she worked as a therapy manager for medium and low secure services in East London, leaving in 2003 for a management position in St Andrews Healthcare. In 2012 Jennifer joined Cygnet Healthcare as Head of Occupational Therapy for Beckton, Blackheath and Lewisham.
Jennifer strongly believes in continuous professional development and has completed a large amount of training to develop specialist skills and knowledge in secure care, including; an MSc, practitioners certificates in complementary medicine, certificate in gym instruction, psychosocial interventions and family work, CBT and DBT skills training.
Jennifer is driven and focused to improve training and provision of recovery oriented practice to improve clinical effectiveness and service user satisfaction.
