Hannah Wright - Hospital Manager

Hannah is a qualified Learning Disability Nurse and has worked at Cygnet Cedars for 9 years. She has gained experience in the roles of staff nurse, senior nurse and Head of Care before becoming Hospital Manager in December 2021. Hannah enjoys working as part of a team at Cedars and supporting individuals to increase their independence

Dr. Saseekala Thalumayil - Consultant Clinical Psychologist

Dr Saseekala Thalumayil is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who joined Cygnet Broughton Lodge, a Residential service for People with Autism in 2015 and then moved to Cygnet Cedars and Elms in 2017. Prior joining Cygnet she worked in South West London in Vista healthcare, an independent Hospital, as the Lead Psychologist for adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism for four years.

Dr Thalumayil started her career in Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore, India. She then moved on as Principal Education Officer (Educational Psychologist) in Botswana for eight years and was the first Psychologist in the Ministry of Education-Division of Special education. She also played a key role in setting up of the Psychology service.

Dr Thalumayil has over twenty three years’ experience working with both children and adults with learning disabilities and Autism. Her passion has always been to work and support people with Autism and to make a difference in their lives.

Dr. Saleha Jeba - Specialty Doctor

Dr Saleha Jeba is a Specialty Doctor who joined Cygnet Sedgley House and Sedgley Lodge in August 2017 and then moved to Cygnet Cedars and Elms in November 2017. Prior to joining Cygnet, she worked in Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire and Coventry for six years.

Saleha graduated from Dhaka University in 2003 where she completed her MBBS degree. Saleha gained her GMC registration to practice her medical career in UK after completing her PLAB exams in 2011 in UK. Saleha has gained experience working in deaf mental health services, mother and baby units, PICU, dementia, autism spectrum disorder, learning disability and eating disorder services.

Caragh Albright - Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist

Caragh first started her career as a Speech and Language Therapist working in the court system. She supported those with mental health needs and learning disabilities to understand and engage in the court process, ensuring a fair and equal trial. This grounded Caragh’s knowledge of those being managed through legal processes, under police detention and also the Ministry of Justice.

Since 2013 Caragh has worked in the private healthcare system helping those with learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders and has gained a strong portfolio of skills and knowledge. Caragh is skilled in autism diagnostics and will routinely provide collaborative assessments across a range of service lines.

Caragh has been instrumental in promoting SLT student placements within Cygnet and will strive to advance this practice across all service lines in order to positively influence our future workforce; Caragh has a strong focus for innovation, research and establishing good practice.

Rubena Ali - Senior Occupational Therapist

Rubena’s passion grew for Occupational Therapy when she was appointed in the NHS as a generic physio and OT assistant in 2014. The role inspired Rubena to complete her BSc Occupational Therapy degree. She has physical health experience working in neuro, trauma and orthopedics, medicals and respiratory.

Her interest in Mental Health came to light when she completed her third year placement at Sedgley House and Sedgley Lodge. Rubena joined the NHS post qualifying as an Occupational Therapist and remains on UHB bank. Rubena joined Cygnet Cedars in September 2019. Rubena values the OT profession and promotes the importance of having occupational balance.

Amie Reeves – Assistant Speech & Language Therapist

After graduating from university where she studied Linguistics BA hons, Amie worked as a support worker for service users with learning disabilities in a supported living setting for 5 years. After this she joined the mental health sector and worked as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant in a secure mental health hospital in Birmingham.

Amie joined Cygnet in May 2020 as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant. During her free time she enjoys baking and going on long walks.
