Summer Sports Programme at Cygnet Hospital Godden Green
July 28th kicked off the Birmingham 2022 commonwealth games. To celebrate and take part in the action, Cygnet Godden Green ran a programme of sporting activities throughout the week.
Activities included members of Kent Cricket Club joining us and giving everyone some cricket lessons, Lordswood RFC who showed service users and staff how to successfully pass a rugby ball to your team mates with a friendly game of staff rugby tag to finish.
The OT team organised a group walk to our local country park and to finish off the week a Godden Green sports day with egg and spoon races, tug of war, three legged races to name a few. A delicious bbq was provided for lunch by our kitchen staff and more fun was to be had in the form of fairground games to win some sweet treats.
The positive feedback from staff and service users was phenomenal and everyone had an amazing time.
