Nature themed improvements on Redwood Ward
Last week service users and staff on Cygnet Hospital Taunton’s Redwood Ward combined the nature theme of Mental Health Awareness Week with some ward improvements. The service users worked hard to design and paint a tree in the communal lounge. This brought nature inside. Their idea is to paint / draw animals and flowers which can be added and changed according to season.
The values of Cygnet were also discussed and displayed, as well as an OT board. Finally there was also a ‘Road to Freedom’ which was the service users’ interpretation of the Redwood Model of Care, translated into easy read. The project was a great collaboration and and was enjoyed by all on Redwood Ward.
