Cygnet Views Macmillan Coffee Morning
Cygnet Views held a coffee morning and bake sale on the 25th September to help raise money for the Macmillan cancer support charity. The previous day the service users attended a baking group with the therapy team where they spent the day baking cakes, cookies and brownies to sell to raise money. The service users all helped with weighing ingredients out and mixing it all together and when cooked and cooled down they were iced and decorated.
On the morning, the dining area was decorated in the traditional Macmillan style with all the goodies and treats on display. The service users all joined in with playing a guess the sprinkles on Colin the Caterpillar’s back game which was enjoyed by all, the winner receiving a cake and novelty keyring. A small donation was asked for the cake sale and funds raised so far are £57.00 with more donations being made by the night staff and other day staff coming in over the next couple of days.
