Cygnet Oaks renovate their Art Room

The OT department at Cygnet Oaks have been working on a project to renovate their art room over the last 12 months. The aim of the project was to make the room a more inviting and purposeful space and to make it openly accessible to service users in order to promote independence, facilitate access to meaningful activities and reduce restrictions within the hospital. As part of this project, therapy co-ordinator Mark facilitated a DIY vocational skills group with two service users, who took responsibility for redecorating the art room. As can be seen from the before, during and after photos, they have done an amazing job and have demonstrated fantastic team work.
