Cygnet Joyce Parker Hospital’s Art Auction
As part of Mental Health Awareness week, the young people at Cygnet Joyce Parker Hospital decided to hold an art auction to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation. The young people created their own art work for the occasion and invited staff along to buy the canvases they had made. As the theme of the week has been Nature, staff and young people were invited to plant their own seeds, and once they’ve sprouted we hope to plant the seedlings out in our allotment. The young people also made their own sweet treats to share around and raise a bit of extra cash. At the end of the day everyone got their own nature journal to take away and the young people got a little goodie bag to say thank you for all of their hard work. The total fundraising from the art auction was £220.65 – the young people were delighted that their art work was so popular!
