Cygnet Appletree Wear it Pink!
Cygnet Appletree joined in Wear it Pink Day on 22nd October with lots of fun celebrations and activities. In the run up to the day, staff and service users tie-dyed t-shirts in recovery through activity sessions.
On the morning of the big day, everyone got ready by applying plenty of pink eye shadow and, of course, lots of glitter. This was followed by making cupcakes, a fruit cake and brownies, which were decorated with different designs.
In the afternoon, the team hosted a bake sale raising £59.38 for Breast Cancer. They also incorporated a health promotion session to discuss signs and symptoms of breast cancer and advice on how to check your breasts. Many service users got involved in the session and it was good to see the conversations flowing.
