Animal Home Safari at Cygnet Delfryn House
Cygnet Delfryn House and Lodge have recently had a visit from the Animal Home Safari! The animals that came included skinnypigs, skunks, blue tongue lizards, a tortoise called ‘Fast Fred’ and many more. One of the birds that came enjoyed being on peoples shoulders and even their heads!
Animal therapy within mental health is evidenced to provide comfort and helps people who suffer with stress and anxiety. The service users gave feedback saying that they felt ‘really good having the animals around’ and ‘really enjoyed’ this session. Both staff and service users are looking forward to the animals coming again soon!
