A fine crop at the Gardening Project

In spite of the hot weather and lack of rain the Gardening Project team at Kirkside House in Leeds have been getting a bumper crop this year. Residents from a number of residential services in the West Yorkshire area take part in the Gardening Project and enjoy growing and harvesting fruit and vegetables to take back to their homes.

Roxanne Mace, Gardening Lead, said, “I think the work the residents put in is amazing and to see how happy they are that the little seed they planted has grown and produced fruit/veg just makes our day. We are especially impressed with the pumpkins and cucumbers this year.”
