We understand that ensuring service users receive high quality care is an inherently complex and fragile operation. Robust systems and processes to monitor, manage performance and regulate the quality of care provided to service users are essential.

What do we mean by Quality Governance?

Quality Governance is simply the combination of structures and processes at and below board level to deliver unit wide quality services. Quality Governance is embedded within Cygnet Health Care. Service users’ experience is a primary measure of the performance of each unit and collectively as a Company.

Key goals in Quality Governance

  • Ensure required standards are achieved and exceeded
  • Ensure investigation and action is taken on sub-standard performance
  • Plan and drive continuous improvement
  • Identify, share and ensure delivery of best practice
  • Identify and manage risks to quality of care

Quality Accounts

Ultimately, Cygnet’s Main Board is responsible for the quality of care delivered across all services that Cygnet provides. Each year the Board publishes an annual Quality Account that measures Cygnet’s progress in a number of areas including Quality Governance.
