Male & Female Forensic Medium Secure Services

Working to national guidelines, we treat and care for individuals with a history of forensic and challenging behaviour, and must be treated in a secure setting. Within the secure environment, our specialist rehabilitation treatment programme can help those suffering from severe and enduring mental health problems.

Our purpose-built hospital at Stevenage is designed to current national standards and accredited for the provision of medium secure services. It allows detained individuals to receive specialist treatment in a secure yet therapeutic environment. Our aim overall is to combine comfort, privacy and dignity, with the security and procedures that service users need.

Our treatment programme forms part of our holistic approach to care. We focus on monitoring, managing and reducing risk, to prepare service users to be managed in lower levels of security, appropriate to their needs. We prepare a programme tailored to meet an individual's needs, which has an appropriate balance of medication, psychological therapies and meaningful recreation.
