Greene Ward - Male enhanced complex needs rehabilitation
Service & Objectives
Greene Ward provides an enhanced environment for the treatment and rehabilitation of males over the age of eighteen requiring medium security.
The ward ethos is to maintain and stabilise medication and to promote recovery through intensive therapeutic and psychological input. Referrals may come from medium secure acute admissions or from service users stepping down from high security.
Treatment Programme
The care programme provided is a dynamic process which is comprehensive and co-ordinated to meet the changing needs of the patient group. There is an overarching group programme which is aimed at maintaining patient interaction and patient to staff interactions. Tailored plans of care sit within this timetable, allowing for specific needs to be met.
Making a referral
We accept referrals on a pre-planned basis. When assessments are required, we endeavour to complete the assessment within 48 hours of referral, and the referring hospital/prison will receive notification of whether the patient has been accepted for admission within 24 hours of assessment.
We are also prepared to travel to where the patient is located and transport the patient back to our hospital, if necessary.
