Our experienced specialist multi-disciplinary teams can provide a comprehensive service with a quick and efficient referral service and regular patient summaries. We offer the facility for 24 hour admission by arrangement with the Consultant Psychiatrist and medical staff on call.
Facilities
The Haven is a 19-bed mixed acute adult psychiatric ward with no locked facilities.
We are registered for 18 to 65s and over 65s with appropriate assessment.

Making a Referral
You can contact us via Cygnet Central, Cygnet Health Care’s bed booking service on 0845 070 4170 or contact the hospital directly on 01423 500599 and ask for Haven Ward.
Alternatively you can complete a referral form and fax it to 01423 525224.
Our nursing team will contact our on call Consultant Psychiatrist to discuss the referral on receipt of an up to date risk assessment. The Consultant Psychiatrist will make a decision as soon as possible. Appropriate funding must in place before the patient can be accepted. Referrals can be accepted 24 hours a day and we will do all we can to facilitate the admission.
Discharge
Discharge will be arranged in conjunction with the referring services to meet the needs of the patient.
