Service & Objectives
Upper Court is an acute psychiatric ward providing a calm, therapeutic and self-contained environment. Each patient has their own bedroom with en-suite bathroom, TV with DVD-player, wardrobe, desk and personal safe. There are communal lounges, recreation areas and extensive gardens for patient use.
Our aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment for patients to gain insight and awareness into their illnesses. We encourage the development of hope, trust, acceptance and change.
Who is appropriate?
We will consider both planned and emergency admissions on an individual basis.
Treatment Programme
All patients have an individual Care Plan which is continually updated during their length of stay.
We offer comprehensive evidence based therapy looking at the needs of each individual.
We run a wide range of therapies that include:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Neurolinguistic Programming
- Family Therapy
- Psychodynamic Therapy
- Psychosexual Therapy
- Integrative Therapy
- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy
