We offer an established, abstinence based, specialist treatment and recovery programme for alcohol and drug dependency as well as other types of addictive behaviour.
Referrals and Enquiries
We welcome informal enquiries from friends and family. You can access our addictions therapy services by self referral, GP referral or referral by one of our Consultant Psychiatrists.

Free Assessment
We offer free confidential assessments by a qualified addictions therapist to all those interested in participating in our addictions programme. This enables us to agree the best way forwards in terms of clinical care, length of stay and costs. Treatment will usually comprise of three components: In Patient care, Day care and Aftercare.
In Patient Care
Patients stay at the hospital during medically assisted detoxification and are introduced to the therapy programme when able to do so. This can also be an assessment period when a dual diagnosis (e.g. depression and addiction) is in question. Day Care
A flexible day care programme is available after inpatient treatment. This provides essential support and is tailored to the needs of the individual as they integrate back into their everyday lives. Day care is also available to those who have not been an in patient.
Aftercare
The foundation of your recovery will be how much you maintain abstinence/sobriety. To help with this we provide a weekly support group for one year for those who successfully complete the programme.
Individual Therapy
Our experienced team of addiction counsellors can be seen for individual sessions.
Quality Outcomes Measures
In the pursuit of continued high standards of service and patient contact we have an ongoing treatment outcome study for each person who goes through our programme, and agrees to be involved. It lasts for one year and contact is made every three months to discuss progress and struggles.

Family Support
There is a free Family & Friends Support Group that provides help, support and guidance for the relatives of those suffering from addiction. Weekend Family Workshops are also available. For more information about our Family Support Group please click here.
Gambling Outpatient Programme
Our 8 week outpatient Gambling Programme can help you discover a rewarding way of life, free from compulsive gambling. The programme runs 3 evenings a week + one Saturday every other weekend, over 8 weeks.
